Organ Playing Fund

The Inches Carr Trust wishes to encourage the playing of organs and has provided Scotland's Churches Scheme with capital funding to assist churches in having their organs played more than at present, and in the development of young organists.

It's hoped that this initiative will contribute to the 'open doors' objective of the Scheme and its member churches.

It should be noted that applications are welcomed from all churches with organs - large or small, old or new!

Churches which have recently benefited from grants are:

• Innerleithen, Traquair and Walkerburn
• Old Parish & St Paul's, Galashiels
• Portland Parish Church, Troon
• St John's Episcopal Church, Forfar
• Garnethill Synagogue
• Nicholson Square Methodist Church, Edinburgh
• Strathaven West

All member churches - large and small, urban and rural - are eligible to receive a grant which will assist in the additional playing of organs, either on their own or as part of a recital, concert or other event.
